Handicrafts play an effective role in reducing seasonal and permanent migration
The results of studies indicate that handicrafts can play an effective role as a deterrent to seasonal or permanent migration.
Firoozeh Nawab Akbar and Nozar Monfared, a member of the faculty of the Scientific and Industrial Research Organization of the Fars Research Institute, have stated in a study examining “factors affecting the quantity and quality of handicraft production”: Handicrafts are one of the economic mechanisms.
For the production of these industries, internal resources such as labor, raw materials and tools are used, which provide eighty percent of production.
Manual production has a direct effect on gross national income and any increase in production and quality improvement will increase it. According to this research, raw materials such as wool, wool and other items will be multiplied in value if they are converted into carpet, kilim, jajim, gabb, etc. industries, and this value will be multiplied if exported. This research has been done by survey method and in two parts of observation and field in Marand Afzar region located in Firoozabad city. The required information was collected through interviews.
The results of this study showed that half of the interviewees are in the literate group and most of them (4.75%) are glyphosate. The rate of participation in the production of women’s handicrafts is high (86%) and the main reason for the production of these industries (8.50%) was economic need.
These results add: the tendency to produce handicrafts and weaving is also high among women in this region and most of them (8.29%) tend to weave kilims.
The main reason for this was that it was easier and more comfortable to weave and have more skill in weaving. In part of these results, it is stated: Women weavers in Marand Afzar region are more engaged in kilim weaving in autumn and winter. Also in the field of pattern design, color and type of texture, it should be noted that this is done to a small extent by weavers.
This suggests that the designs and colors are based on the personal tastes of women artists. On the other hand, the type used is more than the traditional type (4.61%) and is called a clamp. It should also be noted that most respondents (9.43%) believed that the production of handicrafts has a great impact on the family economy.
It should be noted that the production of handicrafts (especially kilim weaving) in the study area has a significant effect on the sectors of income, costs and value added. This process is the workforce that creates added value.
Also, the production of kilim has a significant effect on the gross annual income of the household and a direct effect on the annual income obtained from the production of handicrafts. Researchers have suggested that due to the limited number of families, it is better to provide arrangements to provide horizontal metal hangers to weavers and replace them with traditional ones (clamps). On the other hand, due to the high quality of the weaving work, the raw materials should be easily available to the weavers and the purchase price should be available for the people who own them. Goods are guaranteed.
In conclusion, due to the high motivation of weavers, the great effect of handicraft production on value added and other economic factors should be given special attention.
