The Director General of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of North Khorasan announced the harvest of 13 tons of mountain barberry from the habitats of this province.

Hassan Vahid stated: Barberry fruit is one of the products that is produced in North Khorasan and of course a plan has been prepared for its harvest and the exploiters cannot harvest outside this plan.

According to him, this amount of mountain barberry is harvested from the surface of two habitats.

Vahid added: In addition, by the end of this year, about eight tons of tragacanth and Barijeh juice will be harvested from the habitats of this province.

He continued: These plants will also be harvested from the surface of about five habitats.

The official has so far prepared a plan for harvesting tragacanth, barijeh and mountain barberry from the pastures of the province, reminded: the plans have been prepared at the level of 81,000 hectares.
