Export of 3000 tons of raisins to the owners outside Iran

The governor of Malekan city said:
three thousand tons of raisins worth 150 billion Rials were exported from this city in the first 9 months of this year.

Jahangir Eskandarzadeh told reporters:
This amount of raisins has been processed and packaged and exported to the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Germany,
Romania, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine and Russia.

He added:
this city has the first provincial and third place in the country in terms of raisin production
and seven percent of the country’s raisins are produced in this city.

The governor of Malekan pointed out:
this is only a part of the city’s raisin exports from seven green cleaning factories, and the other part is exported through factories in neighboring cities.

Eskandarzadeh, referring to the sharp drop in the price of raisins last year and the damage of more than 80% to the gardens of Malekan due to frost,
called for more attention of officials in paying for facilities and creating systems to reduce frost and hail damage.

He continued:
if the necessary conditions are suitable and natural disasters are reduced,
the amount of grape production in this city will be more than 250 thousand tons.

Emphasizing the government’s support for private sector investment in the construction of raisin processing units, he said:
Industrial towns one and two of Malekan city are ready to attract investors with special conditions and necessary facilities.
