Beginning of grape harvest from Kermanshah orchards
The director of Kermanshah agricultural jihad announced the beginning of grape harvest from the orchards of this city.
Engineer Shahriar Ghasemi stated that the area of vineyards in Kermanshah city is 1600 hectares and predicted: this year, a total of 25,000 tons of grapes will be harvested from the orchards of this city.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Kermanshah city said that the average harvest of grapes from the orchards of this city is 16 tons per hectare and said: raisins, rubies, Fakhri, seedless white and red are the grape varieties produced in this city.
According to the director of Kermanshah Agricultural Jihad, 20,000 tons of grapes were produced in this city last year.
Ghasemi added: Grape harvest has started from the gardens of Kermanshah city a few days ago.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Kermanshah city further said: there are more than 6500 hectares of fruitful gardens in this city, of which about 5000 hectares are fertile.
Ghasemi added: 5000 hectares of gardens in this city are irrigated and the rest are rainfed.
He considered grapes, apples, peaches, nectarines, walnuts, etc. as the outstanding garden products of Kermanshah city.
