Production of 200,000 tons of grapes in this city of Malekan

The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Malekan city announced: Malekan city with 10 thousand hectares of vineyards produces more than 200 thousand tons of grapes annually.

Manouchehr Rahmani added: Malekan city with an average production of 21.5 tons per hectare has the first rank of grape production.

He added: 20 to 30% of the grape production of this city will be marketed fresh.

Rahmani said: Another part of the produced grapes is processed and turns into acidic, sunny and California raisins.

He stated: The main raisins of Malekan city are of California type and in terms of health, they are at the desired level and new methods are used to store, dye and prevent spoilage and mushroom production.

According to Rahmani, the real estate of raisins is also welcomed in foreign markets.
