Soleimani, director of Sarayan Jihad-e-Agriculture, said: 222 hectares of lands in Sarayan are under grape cultivation, and it is expected that 1,404 tons of grapes will be harvested from this area.

Referring to the grape varieties harvested in Sarayan city, he added: Askari, Hosseini, Yaghouti and Lal grapes are among the grapes that are cultivated in Sarayan.

Soleimani said: the grape harvest, according to different cultivars, starts gradually from the end of July and continues until October.

The director of Sarayan Jihad-e-Keshavarzi added: Most of the grapes in Sarayan are used for fresh consumption by the people, and some are processed and exported as grape juice to the domestic market and to neighboring provinces.
