Behbood Alizadeh stated: In the current crop year, 35 hectares of irrigated agricultural lands and also 25 hectares of rainfed lands of this city in the subtropical regions of Khorshorstom and Shahroud have been allocated for grape cultivation.

He stated: Due to the yield of four tons of crop per hectare this year, more than 138 tons of grapes from irrigated lands and according to the yield of 1,300 kg of rainfed grapes per hectare, 32 tons of rainfed grapes were harvested from the cultivated lands of this crop and sent to the consumer market. .

The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Khalkhal city announced an increase in the efficiency of rainfed grapes this year compared to last year and added: Due to the weather conditions and suitable rainfall this spring, this year’s grape production has increased by 6 tons compared to last year.

Alizadeh stated that the production of irrigated and rainfed grapes in this city is done in a traditional and organic way and without the use of fertilizers and chemical toxins by farmers and gardeners, said: Asgari, Soltani, raisin, root and white grapes are cultivars without seeds It is common in this area.

He said: the villages of Kazaj, Chenarliq, Kemar and Barandagh located in Khorshorstam section and Shal village in Shahroud Khalkhal section have the highest level of vineyards and grape production of this city.
