Record of date harvest by palm grower of Sistan and Baluchestan
A farmer in Sibsuran city in Sistan and Baluchestan province has been able to harvest more than 40 tons of dates from each hectare of his date palms, which is 6 times the national average.
Mr. Mohammad Rahim Mahmoudi has been retired from education for 37 years and has been officially engaged in agriculture. Now, with 6 hectares of palm trees and 40 tons per hectare, he has been able to export his products to and from the country.
He attributes his success to using the recommendations of agricultural experts – passing the necessary training courses and perseverance – timely pruning – using rotten and organic manure in the form of manure – observing order in planting intervals and the number of garden trees and optimal use of water and fertilizer He stated the reasons for his success.
Mohammad Rahim Mahmoudi has directly and indirectly created jobs for 30 people in 6 hectares of his cultivated area.
