20% increase in the price of dates in Khuzestan

He stated that the agreed purchase price of dates last year was 1800 Tomans per kilogram, adding: This year, this rate increased by 20% and its price was approved at last week’s meeting of 2100 Tomans.
Referring to the problems of palm growers, the party said: Every year, with the arrival of the date harvest season, the problems of palm growers begin. The groves need improvement and if they do not address this issue, they will be in a dire situation.
The deputy head of the Khuzestan Agricultural Trade Union continued: Also, the packaging workshops demanded loans, and it was decided to address their problems as well.
Hezbavi added: Another problem of palm growers that has hit them hard is the tripling of insurance premiums and non-subsidization of palm growers.
