Beginning of sturgeon farming in Shush city

The Director General of Khuzestan Fisheries said: so far, a permit has been issued for breeding 100 tons of caviar.

Abdolrahim Moghinami stated: The productivity of sturgeon in Susa due to its climatic conditions is more than the north of the country as the main center of these fish.

Moghinami continued: Shush city has a high potential in the fisheries sector due to the flow of the Karkheh River in it, and there is a possibility of developing the activities of this sector in this city. Also, in the western regions of Karkheh, we have no restrictions on establishing fish farms, but in other areas, we face limited water supply.

According to the Director General of Khuzestan Fisheries, there are several water wells in the west of Karkheh, which can be diverted first to fish farms and then to agricultural lands.
