Beginning of the first mechanized rice transplanting in Soomehsara
The director of Soomehsara Agricultural Jihad announced the first mechanized rice transplant in the village of Mahmoudkian Soomehsara.
Engineer Ahmad Padiab, referring to the first mechanized transplanting in Soomehsara, said: The first mechanized transplanting of Hashemi cultivar rice was done with a transplanting machine in Mahmoudkian village of Soomehsara.
He added: Considering the payment of facilities of three and a half billion Tomans to farmers for the purchase of agricultural machinery, it is predicted that 50% of the city’s lands, equivalent to 14,000 hectares, will be mechanized cultivation, which will see a 20% growth compared to last year.
The director of Soomehsara Agricultural Jihad stated that Soomehsara has 28,000 hectares of paddy lands and 75,000 tons of white rice is harvested annually from 135,000 tons of paddy.
Padyab said that the 11th transplant bank was established in the village of Mahmoudkian Soomehsara, adding: This bank will cover seven hectares of paddy lands with mechanized seedlings. Development of mechanization Reduction of production costs, prevention of change of use of micro-lands and creation of employment are the benefits of creating and developing banks.
Padyab stated that this transplant bank has been set up with facilities of 120 million Tomans and personal income of 150 million Tomans, and specified: With the establishment of this bank, jobs have been directly created for 5 people.
