25% increase in white rice harvest from Amol paddy fields

The special governor of Amol said: there will be a 25% increase in white rice harvest from Amol paddy fields.

Seyed Jafar Rasouli, during his visit to the rice milling units in Dabudasht district of Amol, stated: Due to the favorable weather conditions this year, the amount of white rice production has increased by about 25% compared to the previous year and has reached 2,500 kg per hectare.

Rasouli stated: 12 thousand hectares of paddy lands of this city have been harvested so far, which with the end of harvesting of 37 thousand hectares of agricultural lands under rice cultivation in the first turn, the production of this city will reach 185 thousand to 190 thousand tons and in two turns 260 thousand tons.

Rasouli added: Now the number of mechanized paddy units in this city has reached 18, and we hope that in the near future all 176 paddy units in this city will be mechanized.

The governor of Amol said: due to the increase of mechanized units in this city and also favorable weather conditions, the conversion ratio of paddy to white rice increased to 50% this year, which was between 40% and 45% last year.

Rasouli thanked the parliament and the government for enacting laws banning the import of rice and said: It is expected that 20,000 hectares of land in this city will be replanted, and if the re-harvesting is successful, we can take an effective step in domestic production and prevent Take out the currency and support employment and national income.
