Rice harvest from 3000 hectares of rice fields in Qazvin
Rice expert of Qazvin Agricultural Jihad Organization said: rice harvesting operation has started from 3,650 hectares of paddy fields in this province.
Touraj Bonyadi Babian predicted this news: from this area under cultivation, more than 16,000 tons of paddy, equivalent to 8,500 tons of white rice, will be produced in the province.
He stated: This year, rice has been cultivated in 3,650 hectares of paddy fields in Moallem Kalayeh, Razmian, Rajai Dasht and Tarom Sofla in parts of this province.

He added: This year, good management has been done by farmers for the optimal use of the province’s water resources, which are mostly seasonal rivers, in the paddy lands in the province.
Bonyadi continued: Due to the high costs of rice production, the lack of workers and the high costs of manual harvesting and increasing workers’ wages, part of the rice harvest in the province is done mechanized and with special rice harvesters.
He added: Considering the increase in the number of migrant combine harvesters for rice harvesting from the northern provinces to Qazvin province and the existing combine harvesters in the province, it is predicted that more than 60% of the farms will be harvested in a fully mechanized manner.
This rice expert of Qazvin Jihad Agricultural Organization reminded: saving harvest time and reducing costs and finally reducing rice waste is one of the benefits of mechanized harvesting of this product.
According to Bunyadi, considering the number of native and migrant combine harvesters, it is predicted that the rice harvest will continue until the first half of October.
He emphasized: This year, more than 70% of the paddy lands of the province have been cultivated in a fully mechanized way by four-row seedlings.
According to the official, due to the importance of mechanization and the need for its development in agricultural activities and its quantitative and qualitative effects on rice production, a unit of rice transplant bank with a type of 40 hectares and a number of experts and active users in the private sector to prepare and Rice seedlings with fully technical equipment from 20,000 trays of ready-to-plant seedlings are provided to farmers in the region.
