The head of Mazandaran Rice Research Center said: in Fereydunkenar, Tonekabon and Behshahr lands, organic rice cultivation is being promoted among farmers.
Regarding organic farming, Rahman Erfani said: Organic farming does not use any chemicals such as fertilizers and pesticides, but poultry and animal manure and other products related to nature and digestible can be used to produce healthy products.
He added: Organic products create a kind of harmony with nature, the product of which is also natural and without the use of toxins and fertilizers.
Erfani pointed out that in rice production we seek to produce a healthier product and in other crops we do the same, he explained: Some products such as figs and pomegranate are produced organically naturally, but in rice our view is more productive It is safe to use the least amount of chemicals so that we can control pests and food.
He said that for the coming years, measures are being taken to produce a healthy and organic crop, he said: We are producing organic rice in a limited part of the lands of Fereydunkenar, Behshahr and Tonekabon research station, and usually use natural materials. And received certificates from the Iranian Organic Association and the Standard Organization.
The head of Mazandaran Rice Research Center reminded: in agriculture, the movement towards production is sustainable and in this production, the farmer must observe all the fields of crop cultivation for the sustainability of his production and therefore the farmer can manage the optimal consumption of fertilizers and pesticides with the necessary training. If these cases are observed, there will be no problem and in this case, the product produced is healthy.
Farmers should not go to extension experts and receive the necessary training to produce a healthy and organic product, he said. Farmers should not use poison when they see a type of pest, because all of these pests to a certain extent later. , Are harmful and plant and nature balance this and there is no need to worry.
Erfani added: In the field of organic fertilizer, livestock and green manures can be used, and in places where rice is grown, forage plants such as clover can reduce fertilizer consumption to a minimum.
The head of Mazandaran Rice Research Center stated: To deal with stem-eating and leaf-eating worms organically, this pest can be controlled by using Trichogramma bees and pheromone traps as well as biological toxins.
He pointed out that the use of some bacteria can be effective in combating pests and nutrient uptake, he said: Some biological bacteria in the nutritional can support plants to absorb nutrients and reduce the consumption of toxins, and some of them They also have antagonistic effects against pathogens. We hope that farmers will pay attention to the recommendations of experts in research and extension sciences, and that the production of organic and healthy products will increase every year.
