50% increase in mechanized rice seedlings in the monastery
The director of Soomehsara Agricultural Jihad said: in 99% of Soomehsara paddy fields, rice transplanting has been done.
Ahmad Padiab, pointing out that the city of Soomehsara has 28,000 hectares of paddy lands, said: mechanized production of rice reduces the production costs of this product. This year, in 4000 hectares of Sumehsara paddy fields, rice transplanting has been done mechanized and has increased by 50% compared to last year.
Padiab continued: This year, some farmers in the monastery received facilities to buy machines for harvesting rice. This will cause mechanized rice harvesting in 70% of the monasteries’ paddy fields.
He announced the distribution of 4,000 tons of chemical fertilizers among the rice farmers of the monastery and specified: this distribution was done on time.
Padiab, referring to the decrease in Sefidrood water reserves this year compared to last year, added: to supply agricultural water, part of the city’s paddy fields were dredged by two excavators, more than 60 km of streams and drains. Water is supplied to 25,000 hectares of Soomehsara paddy fields through a dam, and currently the city is not facing water shortages.
