Harvesting rice for the second time in Rasht
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Rasht city said: for the second time, rice was harvested in this city.
Engineer Vahid Mahdavi said: This morning, the second harvest of rice was done in a farmer’s farm located in the beautiful part of Lasht Nasha section of Rasht city.
He added: This farmer harvested his first rice crop in the first half of August of this year, and after 4 days, he started transplanting again in 3500 meters of his paddy field.
He pointed out: This cultivar is of Hashemi type and for the first time in this city, the second rice harvest has been done.
Mahdavi pointed out: According to the study of Rasht Jihad-e-Agriculture experts, this rice product has a very good quality and this success and effort can be a good model for other farmers.
He stated: double cultivation of rice and also ratoon cultivation while increasing farmers’ incomes will increase rice production in Rasht city.
He added: Rasht city is the largest rice-producing city in the country and has 64 thousand and 200 hectares of agricultural lands.
