He added: Last year, 32 billion tomans were allocated to Gilan from the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture for the development of mechanization and the purchase of agricultural machinery in the province. Saving resources, including water, is one of the benefits of mechanized rice production, he said. Mechanization reduces crop yields or fractures of rice grains.

The head of the Gilan Agricultural Jihad Organization, considering the high price of labor costs in rice fields, noted: With the development of mechanized rice production, we will gradually eliminate such costs from paddy farmers.

Engineer Shabannejad, stating that Gilan has 238,000 hectares of paddy fields, clarified: so far, winter plowing has been done in 72% and rice storage in 25 of Gilan’s paddy fields.

He added: Treasury collection in Rasht city, which is the largest rice-growing city in the country, has reached 31% today, and winter plowing has been done in 57% of paddy fields in Rasht city.

Engineer Shabannejad, stating that winter plowing is in good condition in most cities of the province, said: in some cities, including Rasht and Rezvanshahr, winter plowing was below 50% last week, which is now above 50% by the farmers of these cities. it is arrived.
