Production of 11,000 tons of dry tea in Iran
The head of the Tea Organization said: So far, 11,000 tons of dry tea have been produced in 160 processing factories in Gilan and Mazandaran.
Habib Jahansaz said: 65 billion and 300 million tomans of the price of green tea leaves were paid to tea growers in Gilan and Mazandaran.
He pointed out that this year the process of paying the price of green leaves to tea growers is satisfactory, adding: the price of green tea leaves is paid to the account of tea growers every 5 days.
Jahansaz continued: Northern tea growers harvested 49,000 tons of green leaves worth 155 billion tomans from their gardens from May 29 until today, 91% of which were first class.
The head of the Tea Organization pointed out: So far, 11,000 tons of dry tea have been produced in 160 processing factories in Gilan and Mazandaran.
He specified: the price of each kilogram of first grade green tea leaves is 3,275 Tomans and second grade is 1,849 Tomans.
Jahansaz, pointing out that green tea leaves are harvested in three stages of spring, summer and autumn, said: 158 tea factories in the provinces of Gilan and Mazandaran are buying guaranteed green tea leaves from tea growers.
