Rice harvest in 238 thousand hectares of paddy fields in Mazandaran
Deputy Minister of Crop Production Improvement of Mazandaran Agricultural Jihad Organization said: So far, rice harvesting operations have been carried out in about 238 thousand hectares of paddy lands in the province.
Yahya Abtali stated: According to the assessments made so far, rice harvesting operations have been carried out in about 238 thousand hectares of paddy lands in the province in the first cultivation.
He continued: 150,000 hectares of this amount has been harvested mechanized and the rest traditionally.
The deputy of Mazandaran Jihad Agricultural Organization reminded: according to the performance forecast, about 230,000 tons of paddy products have been harvested so far.
Abtali stated: In line with this year’s program, which is named as the year of national production, support of labor and Iranian capital, 51,000 hectares of harvested lands related to local rice cultivars have been allocated for raton cultivation.
He stated that about 18 thousand and 500 hectares of harvested lands have been allocated for replanting, adding: Now that we are in the last days of September, the harvest of ratoon has started from the paddy fields of the province and most of the replanting is in the process. There is reproduction (clustering).
The Deputy Minister of Crop Production Improvement of Mazandaran Agricultural Jihad stated: Our recommendation to the farmers of the province is to carry out rice harvesting operations in a mechanized manner in order to reduce rice waste, considering the availability of a sufficient number of special rice harvesters.
