Increasing the production of dry tea in Iran

The head of the Tea Organization of Iran said: more than 18,000 tons of Iranian dry tea were produced in tea factories in northern Iran.

Habib Jahansaz said: Since May, with the beginning of China, green tea leaves have produced 18,030 tons of quality dry tea in Gilan and Mazandaran tea factories.

He pointed out that this amount of dry tea is produced from 80 thousand and 135 thousand tons of green leaves, adding: it is predicted that by the end of October 30, the green leaves of China will increase to another 10 thousand tons.

Jahansaz, suitable weather conditions, government attention to the tea industry and payment of agricultural loans, increase the desire of tea growers to produce, increase the guaranteed purchase price of green tea leaves and the efforts of manufacturers in production as the most important reason for a 12% increase in quality dry tea production .

The head of the Tea Organization of Iran stated: Gilan and Mazandaran have 55,000 tea-growing households and 25,000 hectares of tea gardens, of which 90% of Iranian tea is produced only in Gilan.

He pointed out that green tea is harvested in three stages of spring, summer and autumn, he said: excellent, broken, pen, gunpowder and soil are important cultivars of dry tea produced in northern Iran.
