Habib Jahansaz today in the agricultural meeting of the province, referring to the Echium amoenum harvest in Gilan, said: it is predicted that 300 tons of Echium amoenum will be harvested this year in Gilan with an economic value of 300 billion Rials.

He said that based on this, the production of Echium amoenum in Gilan will increase by about 8%, adding: Echium amoenum is a medicinal plant that has an agricultural aspect and the harvest time of this plant is from early May to mid-summer.

Gilan Jihad Agricultural Organization’s Deputy for Plant Production Improvement, stating that 90% of the country’s Echium amoenum is produced in Gilan province, said: 6,600 people in this field in the cities of Rudsar, Amlash, Siahkal, Rudbar, Talesh and in the highlands and summer areas of Astara They are active.

Jahansaz stated that Rudsar city has the first rank of Echium amoenum production in the country and the province, and specified: the production of Echium amoenum in Rudsar is 200 tons.
