Annual production of more than 10 thousand tons of dates in Khash city
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Khash city of Sistan and Baluchestan said: Khash city has 7600 hectares of groves in which more than 10 thousand tons of dates are produced and marketed annually.
Shiraz Kamali added: from the second half of March of this year, the work of planting 468 hectares of fertile groves in the zero border area of Rutak in Khash city has started and the work process will continue until the end of April.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Khash city stated: The dates produced by Rutak groves are organic and every year most of the dates produced in this region are exported abroad.
He stated that the main cultivars of dates produced by Rutak are Rabi dates: in this region, there are 7,000 hectares of groves, of which 468 hectares are fertile groves.
Kamali acknowledged: Khash city has 7600 hectares of groves in which more than 10 thousand tons of dates are produced and marketed annually.
