Harvesting cumin in Kerman
The director of Kerman Agricultural Jihad announced the harvest of 81 tons of cumin in Kerman.
Masoudi, director of Jihad Keshavarzi in Kerman city, said: in order to develop a suitable cultivation pattern, planting medicinal plants and plants with low water requirement, cumin product is recommended and promoted in the city.
He added: According to this, in the crop year of 1399, cumin was cultivated in 135 hectares in this city.
Masoudi stated: The harvest of cumin in this city has started with the forecast of an average yield of 600 kg per hectare and a mass production of 81 tons.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Kerman city said: considering the area under cumin cultivation in the previous year, which was 100 hectares with a production of 60 tons, it shows a 35% increase and the income of about 36 billion and 450 million Rials earns the beneficiaries.
