Thyme harvest in Qir and Karzin counties
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Qir and Karzin city said: it is predicted that more than 15 tons of thyme will be harvested in Qirokarzin.
Nasser Ansari, director of Jihad Keshavarzi in Qir and Karzin counties, said: This year, more than 3 hectares of agricultural lands in this county were allocated for thyme cultivation, and more than 40,000 thyme seedlings were planted per hectare.
Ansari specified: in this farm, due to the water shortage conditions of the region, irrigation under rain and strip pressure was used.
He added: Thyme harvest will start in mid-January and it is predicted that 5 tons of thyme or one ton of dry crop will be obtained from each hectare of this farm.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Qirokarzin city, pointing out that the cultivation of medicinal plants such as thyme is less than the priorities of Jihad Keshavarzi and supported by the Ministry due to water needs, said: Currently, its processing is done in a traditional way. Dependent on it can be created.
Thyme is a perennial plant that can be harvested every year in the tropics of two to three Chinese.
