Miami flower gardens produce 10 tons of Damask rose this year
The director of the city’s agricultural jihad predicted that more than 10 tons of Damask rose would be harvested from Miami flower gardens this year.
Ali Asghar Mohammadi, among the city managers, referring to the beginning of Damask rose harvest from the flower gardens of Miami city, stated: This year, Damask rose will be harvested from 15 hectares of these flower gardens.
He pointed out that according to the harvest of the early years of Damask rose, it is expected that 10 tons of Damask rose will be harvested this year. The flocks should be moved out of the field immediately.
The director of Miami County Agricultural Jihad, stating that the Damask rose cultivation development project started three years ago in the border area of ??Miami, said: 34 hectares of this crop have been cultivated in the county until last year.
Mohammadi, referring to the preparation and distribution of 17,000 Damask rose seedlings in the city of Miami, added: Following the development of Damask rose cultivation in 1399 on 17 hectares has been done.
Director of Miami Agricultural Jihad, stating that Mohammadi rose has many benefits and is considered an important plant, pointed to some of the characteristics of this flower and said: this plant is resistant to water shortage and prefers open and sunny areas.
Mohammadi added: Rose extraction from Damask rose is one of the important economic products of the country; So that every year rose water is produced and the resulting essential oil is exported abroad in addition to domestic consumption.
He noted: Researchers have shown that the use of Damask rose tea is useful for treating many diseases; Because Damask rose contains vitamins and antioxidants that are good for the body, including vitamin C, it can be used to treat skin problems such as acne and to remove all kinds of skin blemishes and wrinkles.
