He said: Seedling cultivation was done in March of last year and April of this year and has reached the harvest stage since the 20th of September.

Rahimi stated that in the traditional cultivation method, onions were grown in autumn and reached the harvest stage in July, adding: In traditional cultivation, the crop stays in the ground for a long time and considering several stages of irrigation and other managements, it costs more in harvest.

The director of Marvdasht Agricultural Jihad, referring to the management of water consumption in these farms, added: In this cultivation method, due to shortening the plant growth period, coinciding with late winter and early spring rains and using new irrigation methods, especially the spray method At least it reaches.

He explained: In the transplanting method, about 5 kg of onion seeds are planted in the treasury in the fall to prepare a seedling for one hectare of land, and in March it is transferred to the main land, which in addition to reducing water consumption, also reduces seed and other inputs.

The official mentioned the benefits of this method of cultivation as reducing the consumption of pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, timely production of the product and appropriate income and marketability of the product for the exploiters and reducing labor costs.
