Ahmad Ali Babaei in the carpet committee of Malayer city, stated: out of the total number of carpet weavers in Malayer, 52 are men and 9 thousand 448 are women.
He informed about the weaving of 12 thousand 352 square meters of carpets in Malayer last year and said: if one and a half meters of carpets are woven for each weaver during the year, 14 to 15 thousand square meters of carpets should be woven annually in this city.
Ali Babaei stated that the number of carpet weavers in Hamedan province is 80,000 and said: Of this number, 46,000 people weave carpets part-time and part-time in various cooperatives and 28% of them are insured.
He added: Last year, 60,530 square meters of carpets were woven by artists in Hamadan province.
The head of Hamedan Carpet Department, referring to the existence of 35,866 carpet weavers in the province, acknowledged: Malayer city has 8,335 carpet weavers, two centralized and decentralized carpet weaving units, two designers and drawers, three carpet weaving units, 10 carpet sellers Handmade and six carpet washing units.
He announced the receipt of home business loans by 130 Malayer carpet weavers last year and specified: This was while last year, 550 million Tomans of credit was allocated for Malayer home businesses and 273 people to obtain facilities to the bank and Sazkan Kar Secretariat was introduced.
Ali Babaei continued: This year, 846 million Tomans from the Mehr Fund of Imam Reza (AS) and 152 million Tomans from the Secretariat of the Labor Organization were allocated to Malayer home businesses.
He reminded: 6 billion Tomans has been approved for home businesses in the province this year, of which one sixth is related to Malayer city, and with this amount of facilities, we will be able to introduce three thousand people in the province to receive facilities.
He added: Home business facilities have doubled this year compared to last year, and for this reason, Malayer has no problem in providing loans to the remaining carpet weavers from last year.
Ali Babaei announced the issuance of home business licenses in the field of carpet weaving for 4,600 people in the province this year and said: 1,950 people in the province also benefited from home business facilities.
He stated: The employment quota committed by the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of the province in the current year is 10,655 people, of which 1,184 people and equivalent to 20.5% of this number belong to Malayer.
