Ahar registration action as a national city of handicrafts
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of East Azerbaijan announced that measures have been taken to register Ahar as a national city of handicrafts in the Verni area.
Ahmad Hamzehzadeh in the meeting of Ahar Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Working Group, referring to the rich tourism capacities of Ahar city, said: Ahar is one of the rich cities of the province which has rich treasures in all areas of tourism, having the pristine nature of Arasbaran, Irreplaceable handicrafts such as Verni and the registration of more than 100 historical monuments in this city are a testament to its richness in all dimensions.
Referring to the effective measures in restoring the tomb of Sheikh Shahab al-Din Ahri, he added: Last year, after the efforts and continuous actions of the General Directorate in the restoration of the tomb of Sheikh Shahab al-Din Ahri, we witnessed the establishment of the Museum of Literature and Mysticism in this place. The continuation of these restoration measures, such as the reconstruction of the roof and roof, is being carried out with the advice of the University of Islamic Art of Tabriz and by the specialists of this general office.
Regarding the establishment of a national base in this place, he said: Measures and efforts are being made to establish a national base for this tomb, and the first effective step in this direction will be to liberate the buildings of this building.
Hamzehzadeh pointed out that one of the important programs of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage is the selection of national cities of handicrafts, and said: In this case, the full participation of the executive organs of the city was necessary so that we could prove the importance of this in the country. Fortunately, with the cooperation of the body and inserting the necessary documents, this case will be sent to Tehran and the results will be announced by the end of summer.
He added that the Ahar National Varni Festival should be registered in the calendar of national events, adding that the Ahar Verni Festival is one of the important festivals that can be used to develop tourism in the region, so the necessary steps to register this festival At a certain date, we are witnessing the presence of a large number of tourists in this city and getting acquainted with its rich capacities by registering the Ahar National Varni Festival in the calendar of national events.
He further pointed to the organization of tourism infrastructure of Sattarkhan Ahar Dam and added: the cultural heritage of the province as the custodian of tourism infrastructure had previously tried to equip the space of this area and considering that this department is not able to operate, so Continuation of measures such as maintaining and attracting investors was entrusted to the municipality of this city, however, the General Administration is ready to introduce the active investor in the field of tourism to develop this area if the investor does not tan.

Referring to the opening of the official office of the Cultural Heritage Associations of Ahar city in the Qasem Khan Ahari mansion, he asked the governor and the district governors of this city to help establish cultural heritage associations in the prominent villages with historical monuments.
He pointed to the re-reading of the study plan of Ahar’s historical context and said: Considering that Ahar is one of the 168 cities with historical context in the country, it is necessary to preserve and preserve this valuable heritage and all executive operations in this region should be based on Baft’s principles. Historically, the General Directorate is trying to provide the necessary funds to fully review the plan to re-read the studies of the historical context of Ahar.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of East Azerbaijan also mentioned the opening of Ahar handicrafts exhibition on the occasion of Handicrafts Week and said: Artists of Ahar city are always creating unique and unique works that are welcomed by different tourists every year. According to the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of East Azerbaijan, Hamzehzadeh concluded: In this exhibition, which was opened on the occasion of Handicrafts Week in Ahar, over 250 works by professors and students of Ahar were exhibited.
