All about Ferdows carpet in Iran
Ferdows carpet is one of the light rural carpets that is woven in Ferdows region located in Khorasan province in northeastern Iran. In this carpet, asymmetrical knots with cotton thread and wool fleece are used. Geometry and a tree of common designs and red, beige and blue are common colors of Ferdows carpet .
As for the weavers and weavers of that area, I knew that they had nothing to do with the Kurdish weavers, and we know that the Arabs of Ferdows weave carpets in that area. If I am not mistaken, the tribes have common roots with the Khazimeh dynasty and are not of Iranian origin, but their weaves are more Balochi and Khorasanian than Kurdish.
