Tabriz carpet is one of the types of Iranian carpets. This city is one of the most important carpet weaving centers in Iran and its weaving carpets have a lot of variety. Tabriz is currently selected by the World Council of Handicrafts as the “World Carpet Weaving City”.

One of the most important handicrafts in Tabriz is carpet weaving and it is world famous in this field. Carpet weaving in Tabriz started before the Safavid era and was one of the oldest and most famous centers for weaving handmade carpets in the world. Early carpets were woven in the form of rural designs with 24 counts, which over time increased to 110 Raj with the growth and development of carpets and rugs, and also became a court art.

A) In terms of texture: The finest woven carpets of Iran are woven in Tabriz, the knot is made with hooks and in a symmetrical, strong and durable type, and the weaving is double-knit.

It is the carpets of Iran. Some of the wool used in Tabriz carpets is supplied by Mako and Khoi sheep, which are prepared in factories in the province or in the form of raisins.
