All about the dimensions of kilims in Iran
The dimensions of the kilim are different from other hand-woven fabrics and are determined and woven according to the tastes and wishes of the customers, designers and weavers. The use of kilim as a cover for nomadic tent floors or coverings to prevent sand from entering the tents affects its dimensions. How to consider the appropriate size of the kilim to fill the living space, by the buyer according to the layout and decoration of the home space, which is a safe place for humans, certainly has a serious relationship with the mental content and spiritual space of the selector and according to all these needs. There are different dimensions in kilim.
The requirements of consumption, size and dimensions of the kilim are divided into the following groups:
1. A small kilim woven with an average size of 65.95 cm.
2. Klim with an average size of 110 x 165 cm.
3. The middle kilim was about 150 x 250 cm in size.
4. A large kilim that averages 280 cm long and 170 cm wide.
5. Long kilim that is more than 400 cm long and less than 200 cm wide.
Kilims are woven less in large and long dimensions and more in medium sizes. To weave larger kilims, they are woven into several pieces and finally joined together.
