All rice fields in Gilan are under rice cultivation
The head of the Jihad Agricultural Organization of Gilan said: not even an inch of the paddy fields of Gilan will be left without rice production due to water shortage.
Alireza Shabannejad in the fifth meeting of the Provincial Water Resources Protection Council, which is currently being held in Rudbar, said: The water year that we have this year is more difficult than last year, but despite all these problems, all rice fields in Gilan should be dedicated to rice cultivation Slowly
He pointed out that Gilan has 238,000 hectares of paddy lands, adding: So far, the first plowing has been done in 72,000 hectares of paddy fields in Gilan, which compared to last year, we are witnessing 20% ??of Rasht in this regard.
The head of the Guilan Agricultural Jihad Organization stated that the reason for the successful implementation of the first plowing in the paddy fields of Gilan was to follow the recommendations of the Agricultural Jihad Organization by the farmers and continued: This year, the farmers entered the paddy fields a month earlier.
Shabannejad stated: In order to have a crop year with the least problems, simultaneous transplanting is required and all farmers in Gilan province must enter their paddy fields at the same time and within 30 to 35 days, rice transplanting in Gilan paddy fields must be completed. It will be done well.
Noting that potash fertilizer causes rice to suffer the least damage during drought, he said: There is enough potash fertilizer in the province.
The head of the Guilan Agricultural Jihad Organization also said that another way to manage water consumption and remove barriers to rice cultivation in Gilan is to avoid cultivating late cultivars and said: Since late cultivars do not have a suitable market, we recommend farmers to cultivate this. Refuse the type of figures.
Shabannejad said: In previous years, 10,000 hectares of paddy lands were allocated for the cultivation of late varieties, which last year we were able to reduce to 5,000 hectares.
