Annual production of 15,000 tons of rosewater in Kashan
The governor of Kashan said: The highest average production of Damask rose in the country is related to Kashan city, which annually produces about 15,000 tons of high quality rosewater in 1600 traditional workshops, 28 industrial units and 12 semi-industrial units of this city.
Ali Akbar Mortezaei stated: Harvesting more than 9,000 tons of Damask rose from 2500 hectares of cultivated lands in the flower gardens of different areas of this city this year is predictable.
He added: The flower picking and rose-picking season in Kashan creates jobs for 80,000 people, and the flower and rosewater industries have created about 6,000 stable and stable jobs in Kashan.
The governor of Kashan stated: The economy of 2,800 households depends on the cultivation, production and harvesting of Damask rose, which is expected to produce about 2,200 kilograms of natural essential oil at a value of approximately 200 million rials per kilogram this year.
Mortezaei emphasized: Considering the sustainable economic importance, the macro policies of the management of this city are focused on the tourism industry, and by coordinating and interacting with the officials of Isfahan province and the country, we are trying to boost tourism.
He said: The tourism industry of Kashan cultural region has a bright horizon despite various historical monuments, eco-tourism resorts, handicrafts, traditional arts and natural attractions.
The governor of Kashan added: In May of this year, more than 420,000 tourists visited the historical monuments of Kashan, 10% of which were foreign tourists.
