Director of Agricultural Jihad of Khash city, stating that currently 4,000 hectares of orchards in the city are under pistachio cultivation and 3,000 hectares of these orchards are fertile, said: the amount of pistachio harvest per unit area is 900 kg per year, the annual production of pistachio in this city is 2700 tons .
Amanullah Tooghi added: Khash city has the first rank in pistachio production in the province in terms of quantity and quality.
He stated: in order to support farmers and using bank facilities, 7 pistachio recording and processing workshops have been established next to the pistachio orchards of the city.
He stated: Pistachio pest and disease training courses were held by the Jihad Agricultural Management Extension Office of the city, and pistachio growers were introduced to new methods of fighting pistachio pests and diseases for 8 days.
