Ashrafieh threshold is the center of peanut production

The director of Astana Ashrafieh Jihad-e-Agriculture said: Today, the peanut harvest began in this city.

Engineer Mirzazadeh, pointing out that 90% of the country’s peanuts are produced in Astana Ashrafieh city and has a very good global quality, said: More than 2500 hectares of land in this city are under peanut cultivation and now its harvest has begun.

He added: Peanut skin, which was one of the environmental problems of this city, is now turning into organic fertilizer, and the development of conversion industries of this product can introduce Astana peanuts to the people as much as possible.

He pointed out: Currently, more than 5,000 farmers are active in the field of peanut production in the city of Astana Ashrafieh.

Mirzazadeh said: more than 15,000 tons of fresh peanut cocoons are produced annually in the gardens of this city.
