Beginning of date harvest from palm trees of Hormozgan province

Horticulture director of Hormozgan Jihad-e-Agriculture announced the forecast of 148 thousand tons of date production this year and said: the area under date palm cultivation this year is 37 thousand 898 hectares.

Sedamir Hamzeh Bahari announced this news: high quality cultivars in the province such as Khasubi, Mazafati, Halili, Almehtari, Zahedi, Barhi, Diri, Khanizi, Mardasang and Tori are other sample cultivars that exist in the province.

Horticulture director of Hormozgan Jihad-e-Keshavarzi announced the time of harvesting dates from the province’s date palms from early June to mid-November and said: The harvest of dates from Minab city begins with the harvest of Almehtari cultivar, which is about 700 hectares in the province.
