Beginning of date harvest in Mehran

The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Mehran city announced the beginning of date harvest in 40 hectares of the city’s lands.

Sadegh Eliassy stated: The operation of harvesting dates in 40 hectares of gardens in this city began.

He said that it is expected that about 160 tons of dates worth 6 billion and 400 million rials will be harvested, adding that the harvest of this product has created employment for 115 people.

The director of Mehran Agricultural Jihad stated: The total area of date orchards in the city is 253 hectares and the product consumption market is in Mehran city and the center of the province.
