He said that the area of ​​palm trees that can be harvested in Shushtar is 445 hectares, adding: The average harvest of this crop per hectare is about 7 tons and it is expected that more than three thousand tons of crops will be harvested from the groves of this region.

The director of Shushtar Agricultural Jihad stated: The quality of Shushtar dates is desirable and market-friendly, and in addition to supplying the regional market, it is also sent to other parts of Khuzestan province.

Badpima added: The main date cultivars in Shushtar are colonization and Barhi, but the promotion of other cultivars is also underway.
