The director of Jihad-e-Agriculture of Qazvin city announced the beginning of harvesting the medicinal plant Echium amoenum from the farms of Qazvin city.

Majid Esmaili added: This year, 29 hectares of lands in Qazvin city have been allocated for the cultivation of the medicinal plant Echium amoenum.

He continued: It is predicted that this year more than 400 kg per hectare of Echium amoenum will be harvested from the fields under cultivation of this product in Qazvin city.

The director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi of Qazvin city added: Sefid Ab, Kalmin, Yarud, Sanbalabad, Garmak, Kalayeh, Abbasak, Hilalabad, Brajan, Toj villages of Rajai Dasht section and Viar and Hir villages of Razmian section are the villages producing Echium amoenum in Qazvin city.

He explained: Due to the altitude of Alamut region above sea level, the product of Echium amoenum in this region is of high quality.

Ismaili pointed out that Echium amoenum plant, due to its significant amounts of potassium and calcium, stimulates the body, regulates cell exchange and calms the nervous system, which is used to treat nervous disorders.

He said: Decoction and infusion of Echium amoenum strengthens the five senses and is very invigorating, reduces sadness, anti-panic and anxiety, and can relieve distraction and shortness of breath caused by mental disorders.

The director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi of Qazvin city reminded: Anti-cancer and blood purifying properties are the most important properties of Echium amoenum, which is anti-allergic, anti-rheumatic and anti-inflammatory. It is respiratory.
