Beginning of grape harvest from Arnan Mehriz orchards

Seyyed Alireza Hosseini, director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi in Arnan village of Mehriz city, predicted that more than 150 tons of grapes would be harvested from the vineyards of this village this year.

Hosseini said: this village has 15 hectares of area under grape cultivation, of which five hectares are infertile and the rest are fertile.

He added: Askari, raisin and currant are among the grape cultivars that are cultivated in this region.
Hosseini pointed out that an average of 10 to 12 tons of grapes are harvested per hectare, noting that more than 150 tons of grapes are expected to be harvested from the vineyards of this village this year.
