The director of Khalilabad Agricultural Jihad announced the beginning of grape harvest from 6,000 hectares of vineyards in this city,
which is considered as the most leafy vineyards in Khorasan province.

Ali Nasiri, pointing out that 50% of the grapes required by the province are produced in Khalilabad, added:
Khalilabad has 20 types of grapes and the most important grape cultivars in the city are ordinary Peykami and Askari,
which are used to produce raisins and fresh food, and other cultivars.
Including, Tarshiz, Lal, Rish Baba, Sahebi, Razqi, Fakhri, Muskeh, Targhi, Khalili, Sarghi, etc. are produced in the gardens of the city.

Referring to frost in last winter, storms and hail in spring, Nasiri added:
15% of the vineyards have been damaged, but the grapes produced are of high quality.

Nasiri called the vineyards of this region have a special and special position and added:
the main income of the people of this city is from the production of grapes and raisins and the potential capacity of up to 128 tons
