Beginning of green tea leaf harvest in Komala
Komala district governor announced the beginning of green tea leaf harvest in Komala district and said: This year, due to the quality of green tea leaves, farmers will make more efforts to pick high quality green tea leaves.
Mohammad Ali Khodajo announced the beginning of the harvest of green tea leaves in the Komala section and stated: More than 1000 hectares of agricultural lands in the Komala section are dedicated to tea.
He stated that seven tea factories are extracting green tea leaves, adding that last year more than 4,000 tons of green tea leaves were harvested from Komala orchards. This year, due to the quality of green tea leaves, farmers will try harder than picking high quality green tea leaves.
Komala district, referring to the health and quality of green tea leaves planted in this area and the lack of use of toxins in tea production, reminded: Last year, 18 billion tomans of green tea leaves were purchased and its demands were paid to tea growers.
He added: The country’s tea organization predicts that due to favorable weather conditions and increased operations to cultivate tea gardens last year, this year the tea harvest will increase by about 15%.
