Beginning of harvesting 670 tons of almonds from the gardens of Khatam city
The director of horticultural affairs of Jihad-e-Agriculture of Khatam city, referring to the agricultural capacity of this city, said: the process of harvesting almonds from Khatam orchards will begin and it is expected that 670 tons of almonds will be harvested from these orchards this year.
Mohammad Reza Tajabadi, stating that Chenar Hassanabad Khansar and Valiasr villages are the main almond harvest areas in Khatam city, said: According to the average harvest of 1500 kg per hectare, 670 tons of almonds are expected to be harvested.
He added: Almond orchards in Chenar village of Khansar functions of the city have 20 hectares of almond cultivation area, in this regard, 30 farmers have started harvesting operations from these orchards.
Director of Horticulture of Jihad-e-Agriculture of Khatam city, stating that Chenar village is one of the high-capacity villages in the field of agriculture, emphasized: Horticultural products such as apricots and almonds and crops such as wheat, barley and alfalfa are widely harvested in this village.
Referring to the high potential of Khatam city in the field of agriculture, the official said: Protecting the capacities of this city is one of the serious priorities of Jihad-e-Agriculture in Yazd province.
