Beginning of harvesting ruby grapes in Sirvan
Haj Ali Pourmohammad announced this news: 250 hectares of farms in this city have been allocated for grape cultivation in two horticultural sites this year.
He continued: Grape harvest from these orchards has provided employment for 80 families with a population of 250 people.
According to the director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Sirvan city, due to proper rainfall and weed control, it is expected that 15 to 20 tons of ruby grapes will be harvested per hectare and sent to the market.
Pour Mohammad reminded: in addition to consumption within the province, this product will be sent to other markets in the region, including Kermanshah, Lorestan and Khuzestan.
He stated: This newly established city has suitable capacities for the development of garden products, especially grapes.
The newly established city of Sirvan is located 35 km from Ilam and due to the existence of water resources and fertile lands, it is one of the centers of agricultural production, especially rice in the province.
