The head of Gilan Agricultural Jihad Organization said: Mechanized harvesting of rice from the paddy fields of the province is underway and it will take 40 days to fully harvest this crop in all paddy fields of Gilan.

Ali Darjani, stating that Gilan has 238,000 hectares of paddy fields and mechanized rice harvesting in Gilan has started today in the village of Pas Visheh in Rasht, said: Gilan rice farmers are expected to harvest 1.2 million tons of paddy worth 15,000 billion tomans this year کردن.

He said that it will take 40 days to reach the end of the harvest of this crop, adding: Currently, rice is being harvested in eight percent of the province’s paddy fields.

Noting that mechanized rice production reduces the production costs of this product, he added: This year, 180,000 hectares, equivalent to 75% of the paddy fields in the mechanized province, will be harvested, which is a growth compared to last year.

Durjani continued: This year, mechanized harvesting will be done in Gilan paddy fields with 3500 combine harvesters and harvesters.

He pointed out that most of the rice that is produced in Gilan is of the Hashemi type, and specified: Considering the climatic conditions and the efforts of the paddy farmers in the province, in addition to increasing the quantity, we will also see an increase in the quality of Gilan rice.

The head of Gilan Jihad Agricultural Organization, stating that increasing farmers’ desire for the second crop of agricultural products will increase the income of rural households, said: We plan to increase the second crop in the paddy fields of the province this year compared to last year and to achieve this Farmers are given.

He called on farmers to refrain from burning straw after harvesting rice, otherwise the culprits will be dealt with legally.
