He added: the notified area of onion cultivation for Joven is 180 hectares, which is expected to reach about 200 hectares due to the high average harvest per hectare.
The director of Joven Agricultural Jihad, pointing out that onion cultivation is done in two direct ways and transplanting in Joven, continued: In direct cultivation, onion seeds are planted in the ground in autumn and winter, but in transplanting, the seeds are sown in March in The treasury is planted and after germination and reaching the three-leaf stage in May, the onions are brought into the main field.
Ghazeri said: Farmers face many limitations in the conventional cultivation method, which is direct seed cultivation, but seedling cultivation has the advantage of increasing crop quality, reducing water consumption, increasing the area under cultivation, reducing pesticide consumption and the simultaneous use of modern irrigation methods.
