Beginning of pistachio harvest from Tabas gardens
Pistachio harvest began from 375 hectares of fertile gardens in Tabas city.
Asadi, the director of Jihad Keshavarzi in Tabas city, while announcing this news, said: Tabas city has 611 hectares of pistachio orchards, of which 375 hectares are fertile and 236 hectares are infertile.
He added: “It is predicted that about 70 tons of dried pistachio crop will be harvested from the pistachio orchards of this city this year. Against pesticides and inadequate efficiency of pesticides, the amount of product does not meet the costs of maintaining and harvesting pistachio orchards in this city.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Tabas city named the pistachio species of this city as Akbari, Ouhadi, Ahmad Aghaei, Koleh Ghoochi and Hazelnut and said: to support the pistachio growers, this management provided the necessary inputs and held training classes in the fields of planting.
