Pistachio harvest began from 3,890 hectares of orchards in Qazvin province.
Massoud Rabbani – Technical and Executive Deputy of Jihad Agriculture Organization of Qazvin Province predicted that more than 2500 tons of pistachio will be harvested from the fertile orchards of this province this year.
He stated: Since the beginning of this year, three people from Qazvin province have been exported abroad.

Rabbani pointed out: The shape of pistachio cultivars in this province is umbrella and vertical and its product has good nutritional, medicinal and hygienic quality due to its excellent green color and essential amino acids, good taste and taste of glue and fat.
The deputy of Jihad Agricultural Organization of Qazvin province said: by implementing the irrigation system under pressure and changing the pattern of storage and conversion and supply of water, the performance of pistachio orchards can be increased.
Rabbani continued: Toxicological experiments have shown that the pistachios produced in the province do not contain aflatoxin poisoning and its causes include rapid harvesting, early ripening of local cultivars, early cleavage and non-irrigation at harvest time.
Historical evidence shows that pistachios were brought to Qazvin for the first time by the Ismaili sect after Damghan, Semnan and Qom, and the history of cultivation of this crop in this province reaches more than 700 years.
