Beginning of rice cultivation in Mahneshan city

Jihad-e-Keshavarzi management of Mahneshan city said: rice cultivation started in this city.

Akbar Taybi stated: In order to develop grain cultivation, approximately 170 hectares of agricultural lands in Mahneshan city have been allocated for rice cultivation.

Referring to the direct supervision of rice fields in the city, he added: in order to support and guide rice farmers, Jihad-e-Keshavarzi in this city, in addition to providing some of the required inputs, agricultural experts have direct control over rice fields until the end of harvest.

Taybi said: it is predicted that 545 tons of paddy or 343 tons of rice worth 16 billion and 350 million rials will be produced from the total amount of cultivated lands.

The director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi of Mahneshan city reminded: Last year, 160 hectares of agricultural lands in Mahneshan city were allocated for rice cultivation.

Taybi, referring to the cultivated rice cultivars in this city, noted: out of 170 hectares of rice cultivated lands in this city, 165 hectares have been allocated for the cultivation of local cultivars (group) and 5 hectares for the cultivation of Ali Kazemi cultivar. .
