Boost memory by drinking mint tea
According to a new study, mint tea can help improve short-term and long-term memory and improve mood.
Researchers at the University of Northumberland in the United Kingdom have found that drinking mint tea helps increase alertness, especially in the elderly.
In this study, the effects of various medicinal plants were studied. In one study, 180 participants were asked to drink mint or chamomile tea, and then their cognitive and behavioral skills were assessed before and after the experiment.
They also set up a control group that was only asked to drink hot water.
The results of the study showed that mint tea improved moral behaviors and increased participants’ cognition, as well as improved their long-term memory, level of awareness and working memory. At the same time, chamomile tea had opposite effects to mint.
